Establishing the growing importance of emerging domestic sectors including the metros, IndiGo, India's favourite on time performer has announced the launch of 06 new flights on its domestic network. India's largest carrier will now operate its fifth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Kolkata, third daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Nagpur and third daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Jaipur.
The new flights resonates the airline's expansion plan, and the month-on-month growth IndiGo has seen in the domestic skies. Commencing on March 20, these new services will further consolidate IndiGo's position as the fastest growing airline in India, with its 405 flights connecting 33 destinations across the nation. Both corporate and leisure customers travelling from north, south and eastern metro destinations will now have the opportunity to experience the hassle-free, on-time performance that IndiGo is synonymous with.

On the international sector, IndiGo has just launched first daily and direct flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Dubai, second daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Dubai and new daily and direct flight between Chennai and Singapore. Consolidating its leadersip on the domestic front, IndiGo also launched its fifth daily and direct flight between Delhi and Chennai and second daily and direct flight between Delhi and Kochi. Additionally, 6E will operate its fourth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Chennai and fourth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Kolkata, fifth daily and direct flight between Delhi and Chennai and second daily and direct flight between Delhi and Kochi., fourth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Chennai and fourth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Kolkata. Earlier this year, IndiGo also recently launched fourth daily and direct flight between Bengaluru and Kolkata, a new daily and direct flight between Bengaluru and Goa, daily & direct flights between Bengaluru & Guwahati, 6th daily & direct flight between Bengaluru & Hyderabad, 7th daily & direct flight between Mumbai & Bengaluru and a new daily flight between Kolkata and Goa via Bengaluru.

Reinforcing its commitment to the international market, IndiGo, India's largest and fastest growing airline has announced the introduction of new flights connecting Trivandrum with Dubai and second daily and non-stop flights between Mumbai and Dubai. Effective March 01, 2013, the airline will launch its new daily and non-stop flights on the route. IndiGo will be offering introductory all inclusive return fare of INR 11,699 (AED 777) on the new flight from Trivandrum to Dubai and also on the second daily flight from Mumbai to Dubai.
Both corporate and leisure travellers will now have the opportunity to experience the matchless on-time performance that IndiGo is synonymous with in the Indian skies. IndiGo is positioned as the fastest growing airline in India, with 64 brand new Airbus A320s - 6E operates 399 daily flights, connecting 33 destinations.

India's largest airline, IndiGo has taken delivery of its first A320 aircraft equipped with Sharklet fuel saving wing tip devices, becoming the first Indian carrier to do so. Sharklets are newly designed wing-tip devices that improve the aircraft's aerodynamics and significantly cut the airline's fuel burn and emissions by four per cent on longer sectors. This milestone makes 6E the first airline globally to introduce on A320 aircraft powered by IAE engines. Sharklets are an option on new-build A320 Family aircraft, and standard on all members of the A320neo Family. They offer the flexibility to A320 Family operators of either adding around 100 nautical miles more range or allowing increased payload capability of up to 450 kilograms. All future A320 aircraft to be delivered to IndiGo shall be fitted with the Sharklet wing tip devices.
In little over six years since we began operating, our low fares and high service ethos at IndiGo has enabled us to grow to become India's largest domestic carrier. We already operate one of the world's youngest most fuel efficient fleets and our investment in Sharklet will help reduce our fuel consumption even further," said Aditya Ghosh, IndiGo, President. IndiGo placed an order for 100 A320 aircraft in 2005. In addition IndiGo was the first Indian airline to order the NEO with a contract for 150 A320neo and 30 A320s placed in 2011.
